Im in need of cheap 16in wheels for my Celica. Since The Matrix are 5x100 they should fit. I have a set of 225x50x16 tires already.. Would they fit in those steelies.. also they 16x?

I suspect 16" steelies to be no more than 6" wide. A few guys use the 16" steelies for winter. Hopefully, they can chime in and confirm... 225/50/16 may be too wide a tire for 16x6... __________________
