The only CAI that is ready to go for the 05/06 (with air pump) is the Cosmo Racing (www.cosmoracing.com) one. It's also the cheapest. That's what I have. You can also adapt the Injen, which is about double the price with a little ingenuity (blocking off the secondary nipple on the main tube then adding a filter to the fuel pump breather. If you check out www.matrixowners.com (Pls. search first or they'll jump all over you) you'll find tons of info on the matrix. Here's a couple of photos of the Cosmo on my 05:

just don't ask a question that's been asked a hundred times b4. MO is a great place, lots of advice, lots of laughs, lots of experience with mods.

I forgot to mention that unfortunately, you have to remove the front bumper on the 05/06 to clean the filter. It gets tucked up above the foglight, facing right into the bumper. Only takes 5 minutes to nremove though. Red should look fast!

Acutally because its an 05 XRS, you can use the Injen CAI #RD2076 without any modifications. The Cosmo is the only option for the 05+ XR.
