why i didn't switch before?????

I used to drive 4x4's (94 Chevy suburban, 96 Dodge Ram 1500 long bed to pull my 91 Ford Bronco w/ 4" lift kit on a 38" tires) and go camping and four wheeling @ Pismo beach and Mendocino county...I used to laugh at small compact cars ....then the gas went up and up and up...i have no choice but to give up my truck, one by one and end up driving the family van... so finally i decided to get me a Toyota car but not the old camry or the corolla...then i found my baby...2004 Solar Yellow Matrix xr. the first thing I did is change the exhaust to Magna Flow and then the CAI from TRD...and I LOVE IT ....i love small compact car so much that i bought anothe one last week...99 Burgundy w/ Tan leather interior PORSCHE BOXSTER S....only has 44k miles on it....deng, those 2 cars look good in my garage Don't get me wrong...i would still buy me a truck for four wheeling in the near future....that is if the wife approved...ahahahahaha!

Well, thanks for those who find time reading this...i just want to share the joy and the love i have for my matrix and boxster....

I love the Boxster. Hope to get one myself some day. Anyone have stats on a base Boxster vs. an XRS? My friend just picked up an 01 base Boxster and I'm tempted to try giving him a run. He says it is rated at 217HP and I dynoed 175 WHP. I know that doesn't mean much, especially considering all my power is in such a short range (6800-8200rpm).

I guess with those specs, I'd get smoked too, but still worth the try. He's a motorcycle cop so he's definately an experienced driver too, so won't gain anythere either. Thanks for the specs.

ps......... stay home with your kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Kids are the best thing in the world, could you imagine losing them?

i should have enclosed this in the first place before everyone or someone get into my case regarding the kids...hehehehehe! the kids are 19, 16 & 7...plus the empty parking lot is behind our house and we we're gone for 15mins....and that was 11pm and the only one who is sleeping that night is the 7yrs.old and, no, I wasn't setting up a bad example to my kids, i did tell my other 2 about why am i going to the parking lot...and i know for some of you might do or tempted to do the same thing...on how would your car match to the other car without being embarass infront of other stranger except your other half...hahahahaha!

why do i sound like i'm making excuse infront of my dad...ahahahahaha!

thanks for the concern though, trx! i totally understand what you are saying....

NP, I understand now. I just took my friends (actually groomsman at my daughters wedding next weekend) Boxster for a spin. Wow. I'm in love. It;s only the base, but I had it up to 200 KPH in no time. It holds the road unbelievebly too. Came out of an S bend on a country road at 120 KPH and could have gone even faster. The only downside was that my Trix clutch/shifter is awful in comparison. The Porsche was sooooo smooooth, like butter, not like cutting thru grissle on a bad steak.
