Unhappy rough idle after intake swap

2003 marix, just installed a short ram intake, now idles rough. Put stock system back in and same problem. Not sure, not even my car, girlfriends.

all hoses are connected all sensor plugs, I dont think messed up the throttle cable. I read this online last night for the intructions for a different brand intake.........that when romoving the evap junction or sensor that is connected to the stock air box do not nisconnect the hoses from there or the wire connector not sure what the ment.

yeah the car runs good as new past idle with the stock intake and ran great when the short ram intake was in.

Next time unplug your battery before starting the project as you should with most projects. Once you have the project done, reconnect the battery and let the car idle for a solid 10-15 minutes so the AIT sensor and others can adjust the new airflow and relate the fuel mixture accordingly, thus making a gain in HP. It amazes me how many people actually forget this step which really makes a difference in the way the car drives. Since we are using computers for the injection and such, it only makes sense to do so, so that your car can recalibrate based on the new adjustment for maximum output.

2nd Generation im having the same problem as well

get chech engine light and rough idle after i installed pod filter

throtle body is clean and i cleaned ica and unhooked the battery

just had a new engine put in with only 50,000km on it (1988 v6 camry)
