Goodyear Eagles?

Everyone here complains about the stock tires, which seem to be Continentals. My 05 Cert. Pre-Owned came with a set of Goodyear Eagles and man are they awesome. I don't know if the last owner changed them or what but for an AWD, they work great and handle so well. Road noise is minimal, they are very predictable and traction is great. I will absolutely be getting another set of these.

Mine were the Goodyears. I hated them from day one.

They did have great traction, but the ride was harsh.

I babied them through 36,000 miles and just replaced them with Cooper Lifeliners that have a treadwear rating of 620.

So, thinking that I traded great traction for long treadwear (on purpose), I gave these Coopers a workout. Absolutely terrific cornering with just a tad of squish, which I attribute to the deeper tread. On a crisp turn initiation, I feel just the slightest difference. Certainly giving a much nicer ride. No more bone jarring from the slightest road imperfection and many of those annoying buzzes and rattles are gone. If I could just get rid of the one inside the driver door (only does it at specific engine rpms).

So, you enjoy buying another set of those goodyears. I wouldn't put them on my lawn mower.
