matrix XRS odometer from miles to km - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

Hey everybody,

I have an XRS 2005. My odometer was reading 9800 miles or something like that. All of the suden now is reading 16200. It seems that it went from miles to km. I mean, it makes sence looking at the numbers. Any one have seen this happening before? Does someone knows how to get it back?

No it's not possible, there is probably something wrong with the display, i would just have your dealership look at it. If it went from miles to kms than it would read 15680 as there is 1.6 kms in a mile.

Yeap I'm planning on taking it to the dealership this week.
The odometer was about 9800 the last time I read it. I'm assuming that if it really switched to km I have gonne over the 10.000 miles. The numbers I used in my first post were approximations.

OK, forgive me if this is an obvious question and I am insulting your intelligence, but are you sure you were looking at the odometer and not the Trip A or Trip B?
