Gear Indicator Lighting
So I love the red on the Matrix, it's real slick. But for some reason Toyota decided to go with their typical green and orange coloring for the P, R, D, L, 2 gear slector lighting. I am hoping this will be as easy a fix as just putting the film behind the letters/numbers.
When I had a Saturn they did not make gauges so I took the stock ones and put a color tint behind them. I went to a music store and got high heat resistant film (the kind they put over stage lights for effect). That way it would not fade or bubble or melt so close to the bulbs themselves. Worked great for that application and the stuff comes in rolls pretty cheap. I am wondering if I can simply do this to the gear selector as well w/o having to add LEDs or anything. What do you think, simple enough?
