2005 Matrix XR AWD I have this grille.

But I have seen this one around and like the looks of it better, it's more aggressive looking and cleaner I think. Question is, I think its from an 03 but will it fit directly with an 05?

Yes, that's the grill from 03-04. They changed the grill to suit the 05-up bumper better. There is a slight difference in shape but it will fit the 05-up.

You bet did it on my 06 already. Was 1 of the first things I did.

Nice, did you just buy the grill and still used all the old bolts to mount it or did you need extra parts as well. Also the lower grille since they are the same design, but since I have an 05, my fog lamps are mounted on the bumper not inside the mesh area. Can you buy it w/o the holes for the fog lamps?

Also what was the price? I would imagine you have to get it from a dealer.

I drilled and installed the lights in the lower grill myself. The 03/04 lower grille is different and wont fit 05/06.
