Newbie to forum, 03 XRS 2zz

Hey, whats happenin'.
I just boughta 2003 XRS 2ZZ w/45000 miles CPO in Lunar mist w/ sunroof. After a few months of researching and digging I talked myself into the 03 XRS and loving every minute of it. Upgrades so far are Kenwood double din Excelon cd player, 6.5" JL Audio components in the front, Focal 6.5" 2-way in back, w/ 10in JL sub way back.(I like my music). Next on the list is either suspension,( sway bars and tower brace) or exhaust w/ K&N drop in filter.
1st ? Anyone have experience with the Borla direct fit muffler?
2nd? What kind of camber problems has anyone had with lowering springs? How low can you go before a camber plate set needs to be installed? I just want an easy 1 1/4- 1 1/2 drop. Nothing to low.
Thanks for responses in advance from Dallas, TX.
M

1. A few locals have the Borla. Sounds good but that's about it.
2. W/ the drop you want, camber isn't an issue.

Congrats on the new (old) car and welcome to TN.

1. borla is nice...sounds good....just a bit overpriced, imo
2. i have eibach prokits (1.2" drop front and back) and have no problems with camber, etc

imho, get springs and a intake first

Greddy makes fabulous exhausts. It allows engine to flow really well (no bends after the muffler and larger diameter pipe). Not loud and not quiet either. I have a street performance 2 exhaust and I love the sound a lot. Gives noticeably more low and mid range as well. I will be making a video soon.

However, I agree that cold air intake should be the first mod since 2ZZ-GE responds to it extremely well. You will almost be shocked in lift the first time you drive.

Also have a 2003 xrs and it came with a 1.5 inch drop. It took its toll on the front shocks as they started to leak at 45,000km. Had to have them replaced before the warranty expired. Our beautiful Quebec roads which are like Bagdad city are to blame. Full of wholes, cracks, craters and lately collapsing overpasses. (Read the news as last weekend 2006-09-30, an overpass collapse in Laval, near Montreal. Had just passed under 45 min. before). See that I am not alone as many lowered suspensing cars have had the same problem. Our roads are certainly not meant for this. Everywhere else (Ont., Northten states) the ride was great. Planning on upgrading my Firehawks tires. Any suggestions?
The car also came with TRD exhaust, CAI, sway and stud bars which are great and gives me that additional zip. Next you should think off your breaks. They are to small for the vehicle weigth. (inquire on the web http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/pr...matrix_part_1/). The rotors should be bigger and the 4 lines should be stainless steel. The rear breaks bigger rotors are not worth the investment. Have fun!

^Bigger brakes may 'look' better but all they do is increase rotational mass thus decrease acceleration. The stock discs perform great. Upgrade the pads and they work even better.
Stainless steel lines are pointless for daily driving.

You can try Magnaflow and really no camber issues unless you wanna change them yourself.
