engine noise

hi, i have my matrix for 4 days now and I noticed that the engine noise is a bit higher than other cars.
I saw some reviews in MSN and other forums that this is normal.

any inputs anyone?

I guess the best way to verify also is to find another matrix and drive it or at least turn on the engine.
mine is a 2005 Toyota Certified used vehicle.
