CD play mp3?

Does the standard audio system in the 2005 Matrix play mp3. I could not tell from the manual. My 2007 Camry system plays mp3 which is great because I can get about 80 songs on on CD.

I was doing a test myself when i first bought my '06. i received the same issue, it played, but no audio.

echo, as far an an mp3 w/fm transmitter, i'm sure they're around. if you have an ipod (i don't) there is a transmitter that you can purchase to play your mp3's. my friend bought one for his ipod and it worked great, until his ipod battery died because it sucks up some juice as well.

cardassian - i would assume that you can fit a lot more than just 80 songs on a cd of mp3's. if its a cd with 700mb, and each mp3 is about 5mb, you should be able to fit about 140 songs on there. just fyi, i would only put songs i like anyways, not just whatever fits.

hi auto, yes there are really cheap fm transmitters.. but i was thinking of an MP3 with built in transmitter.. so that you dont have to plug anything on the cigarette lighter. its an additional clatter in the car..

so far I havent found anything in ebay.

cheers!

Auto - Yes, my first attempt at putting songs on a CD ended up saying it was full but it looked like it was only half full. I am not an expert in this area, so I will be trying again.
