Getting a Silver XRS auto w/ the 17'' aluminum wheels

I have decided to get a silver xrs auto, and my parents have insisted on the 17' wheels. I have some questions..

1). Does the XRS auto have the anti-lock brakes (ABS) with the EBD (electronic brake distrubition or something)

2). Will these 17'' inch make my car's height a little bit bigger? I prefer the matrix with a taller look. And also, does bigger tires usually = more stabler driving, but also decrease mileage (does anyone have a picture of what the wheels/car would look like if they were 17'')

3). I've heard the sunroof is not allowed with the 17'' wheels for some reason... is the sunroof really that good?

4). Is the mileage real crappy on the XRS compared to its base/XR model.

5). Anything I should know about this car also?

hmmm...
I dont think yer gas mileage will be too much worse with 17 inch rims...handling will be a lil better too. As for mileage Vs an Xr, Im not sure. Ive been keepin track of my mileage and I get about 27-28mpg. 6-speed Xrs...but Im a pretty tame driver 'most' of the time and travel interstate to work...

So what you guys are saying is that if I do go with the 17'' wheels, I won't lose mileage or anything. Will I gain performance or turning advantages of any sort with bigger wheels?

Greetings.

2). Will these 17'' inch make my car's height a little bit bigger? I prefer the matrix with a taller look. And also, does bigger tires usually = more stabler driving, but also decrease mileage (does anyone have a picture of what the wheels/car would look like if they were 17'')

I'm not sure about the car being taller, the thing with the XRS is that it comes stock in Canada with side-skirting and fog lamps, so the car is lower to the ground in that respect than an XR. The bigger tires cuts into your acceleration times, but the handling on those suckers is amazing.

3). I've heard the sunroof is not allowed with the 17'' wheels for some reason... is the sunroof really that good?

For 2004, I THINK you should be able to get a sunroof on the 17". The sunroof was not availabe on the XRS when I bought it, but it's a nice option, but should reduce your head room by a bit.

4). Is the mileage real crappy on the XRS compared to its base/XR model.

Like Delako said, it depends on how you drive it. The mileage on the XRS isn't as good as the XR, but it's still much better than on my mom's 2001 Avalon XLS.

5). Anything I should know about this car also?

Get the 6-speed, you need it to take advantage of the 180hp engine. The gear ratios are really poor on my automatic. The plastic door interiors tend to get scratched.
