the guage itself

If it were the sensor, the gauge would still bottom out with the power off. Sad to Go to http://www.electrolund.com/2005/03/m...erse-beep-mod/ and youll see how to take out the gauges. If you want to do it yourself, buy a new gauge set from toyota and replace it yourself. If it doesn't work, you can take it back and get your money back and go from there

Thanks Joemaniaci. I didn't know I could pull the cover right out. That shall be easy. Now, if the temperature gauge is broken, do you think I could just replace the temp gauge? I don't want to replace the whole gauge.

Just go to a toyota dealer and tell them that you need to replace the temp guage from your guage cluster and ask if you can replace individual gauges, or if youll have to replace the whole thing. Most likely youll have to replace the whole thing, I am not too sure. But you can make money off of the old one by selling it to a rebuilder online.

thanks man. I called dealer. Yes, u r right. I have to replace the whole thing, but it has to be installed by dealer for about $500. I am planing to get a aftermarket oil or water temperature gauge. It costs much less. Any good gauge u know of?
thanks again.
