hey I looking for a cold air in take for my new matrix I was thinking og a short ram intake for AEM for the 04 matrix would in fit on my 07 matrix

No it won't. Yours has a drive by wire throttle. You need the Cosmo one and it's from a Canadian Company (Quebec). See them here:

Yeah, that term is a little weird. Drive-by-wire simply means it's controlled electronically not by throttle cable.

The difference between the 04 and 07 is that you need to modify vacuum lines, and there's a possibility that your check engine light could come on because of the difference in pipe size, something about the air temp sensor doesn't work properly with the different size.
