What a rip, I would never pay $300 for all the things I could do myself.
-oil change
-air filter check
-in cabin air filter replacement (they say to do it now but you can get almost 60k out of a filter)
-antifreeze flush (really doesnt need to be done till 40-50k
-tranny flush (yeah right, try once every 60k)
-inspect brakes (at 30k you should still have half of your brakes left)
-wiper blade replacement (you should already be replacing your blades twice a year, at least in New England, one for summer one for winter)
-tire inspection (tires should last 60k, Although I drive harder so I replace every 40-50k)
-exhaust system inspection (get on your back and just look for anything loose, when its cool, and shake it around to makesure its tight)
-A/C inspection (turn your air on full blast, feel cold, your all set)
-brake fluid check (open the resevior and look)
-Power steering check (same as above)
This is generally what a dealer covers for 30k or most big inspection points. This should take you all of 1 hour to complete on your own including oil change time. It is mostly checks and inspections. Talk to mechanics and others who know cars; as long as you keep changing the oil and do a fluid flush every 50-60k and keep putting the same oil in everytime, you will have no issues and no reasons to pay this ridiculous amount to the dealer.
