Post Sound System

I would like to know what kind of sound system everyone has in there matrix.
head unit, door speakers, tweeters, subwoofers, tv's, navigation, anything upgraded.

i'm still stock, and working on the engine first, but i would like to get an idea of what's good and definitely functional.
after basic mods to the engine, i'm thinking about going on the inside of the cabin.

right now i'm thinking about going with a basic sub.
i love the room i have in the trunk space, and i don't want to clutter that up.
in my suv i had 2 10" woofers with an amp on the back of the box. i still had a lot of room, but if i were to put that exact same setup in the matrix, i'll lose probably about 40-45% of my trunk space.

i just want something to keep me satified with my hip hop & rnb, but i don't want to shatter my windows or cause an earthquake in a 2 mile radius.

i'd like to see some pics or even just pics of head units and subs of what was put in your cars.
i'd like to have my sub look flush into the trunk space on the passenger side, but i don't want to spend a whole lot of money.
i was looking into the bazooka tube, but not sure if it'll satisfy me enough, plus i don't want to have to bolt it down and drill holes in my car. i saw it at circuit city for about $100 for a 8" powered sub, with only a hard hitting 30watts , yes, 30 watts. could've been 80, but my eyes are pretty good, i think it said 30.

as for a headunit, i want to go with a double din screen with a dvd player and tv tuner, anyone with that kind of setup?

your help would be much appreciated.

im stock with a 12" sub in a sealed box....the amp is on the box

i also have a quick disconnect so i can quickly and easily remove the sub if i want to hold more stuff....

the box fits nicely behind the 40% part of the seat so i can still for th 60% side down for longer items if need be.....ill take some pics tonight....

i was looking into the eclipse or pioneer double din nav/gps/dvd player. did it fit in easily after you took the stock radio out? i would like to know because of it being a double din.
which model is your eclipse headunit?
do you have anymore room in your trunk space with those 2 15"s? as much as i would love that sound, i need my space.

i'd like to know any thoughts on getting a hu with nav/gps or just buying a seperate gps unit from garmin or those other models? the reason why i consider getting a seperate one is because i can take it out and use it in my gf's car whenever she drives (which isn't often)

barber, please take some pics and post when you can. i'd really like to get a good idea of how to maximize my space, but still have good sound. i'd like to keep it as flushed as possible without altering much of my trunk space, meaning i don't want to drill or cut out holes.

When my OEM head unit failed (the CD player stopped working), I replaced it with a JVC KD-G720. The speakers are still stock.

I pulled out the stock 6 disc and put in a Kenwood double din Excelon KDC-X589 cd player/mp3/ubs port/ with the ipod controler.
I also have JL 6 1/2 components in the front and Focal 6 1/2 two way in the back.
I need a 4 channel for these soon, the sound is low up until 28-30 volume, the unit tops out at 35.
In the rear I have a JL audio 10in sub w/ a JBL GTO 320 pushing it soon to be JL Audio mono.
The headunit was abit of a pain because the oem mounting bracket holes didn't line up to the Kenwood and had to spend the time to drill and file near matching new ones.
And the door speakers aren't exactly direct replacements either. I had to build mounting brackets to fit the door holes and line them up to the door panels. It was work, but well worth it in the end.

hope this helps.
