Carbon Fiber vs Chrome

I've been looking for some tail lights for my '03 XR, and have had some trouble finding a set decently priced. Most I've found are running $250-$275 a pair. Is this normal price range for lights? For my silver Trix I can't decide if I want carbon fiber or the chrome housing. Anybody have pics with cf or smoked i've seen XRs with the Altezzas stock, but I'm not sure It would look right on mine. Suggestions?
