lock/unlock chirp

does anybody know of a way to get the car to chirp when you lock/unlock the car?

it bugged me for the longest time. i felt like they never installed any "vip security" system. but after researching, the security system does not chirp when locking or unlocking.
it annoys me that my alarm will only go off if there is forced entry when the door opens or the glass breaks when the alarm is set.

but my trix is still a few months old, i dont plan on getting another alarm on it, so i'm just living with it for now.

Someone on the forum at matrixowners.com figured out how to do it, but it's pretty complicated, and involved fabriacting your own circuit board.
