Matrix Questions

Hey everyone, I'm new here, and I'm looking for a new car to buy. I was looking for an affordable car that would give me some speed.
I was turned to the 2003 Matrix with its 180 HP and I was wondering how much HP these things get at the wheels, and what kind of availibility of performance mods were available for its engine. Any help would be great.

Thanks for your time.

Thanks for the replies, I don't have the largest disposable income at the moment, I'm just entering college.
I was originally looking for a used supercharged SS Cobalt, and saw the matrix and considered it an option. I was just wondering how the cobalt stacks up to a matrix interms of power and mods available for it. Also, if you know any other affordable cars with some power, I'd be much obliged if y'all could fill me in, my price range is around $15-$20k. And thanks unklekraker for your pm, got me thinking about more cars lol.

I know this is probably an out there question, but does anyone know which one has the lowest insurance lol, thats gonna be taking a large part of my monthly income too. I know the SRT-4 has one of the highest insurance rates out there, one of the reasons I didn't really consider it even though Dodge is one of my favorite manufactures.
