Factory Remote Start, where to buy?

I found a Mopar factory remote system for my gf's Jeep for $243 online. The dealer wanted well over $300. I refuse to pay full dealer price for one but I want to know if anyone has any sites they reccommend that sell the Toyota Factory Remote Start System for the Matrix.

I have an 05 XR AWD and I am pretty sure I have the VIP security thing. No light on my key FOB, but i have the thing on left of the steering wheel that says Security and flashes. Does this mean I have VIP?

I just got the autostart 2 way remote starter installed yesterday. I wouldn't get OEM, I'd go aftermarket like the autostart or Compu Star. You'll want it installed as well so go to a place that sells tham and installs them.

Wouldnt bother with the OEM, go to a local installer. Paid 250 for mine, would have been 200 but needed a extra part because of the OEM security system...chip in the key or something like that.

Thanks for the replies but I really want to stick with OEM, mainly because you dont have to go through all the extra cash for the chip security thing. The OEM kits come with a blank chip in the kit and you simply program it to learn your key code. Did it with my gf's 05 Liberty with a snap.

Also my good friend is a Master Installer, he goes to dealerships to do starter installs, TV's, DVD's, Navi, LoJack, etc. So he hooks me up!

I guess the only place to get it is the dealer. I would rather drop $300 at the dealer for a stock unit, I know aftermarket is just as good, I just don't like not having a Toyota key fob or start button. Besides, it is ridiculously hard to find a remote start kit w/o the keyless entry. Which makes no sense to me why you could not just buy the starter and not have to change all the other stuff too. Especially since the Hatch button is not something found on every keychain.

You don't need to invest in the chip. Just use the 3rd valet key. I didn't even know I had one seeing you can't lock the glove box and don't have a trunk.
