03 Matrix engine rev noise when cold

I am new to the forum here but I did read an older post about this problem occuring to a small percentage of 03 Matrix owners. My engine makes a weird 'rev' sound for the first couple of minutes after starting up only when the car has been sitting in below freezing temps. Sounds like the RPMs going up and down, over and over. Has Toyota offered any solution to this issue? I am in NYC area, any help would be appreciated.

At this moment in time (early February 2007), a fix is slated for installation in my car.

Results of this fix will be posted at that other thread.
