Personally, I would not buy a GM product. Yes, I know a Vibe is Pontiac but that's why I have a Matrix!

I've heard the caddy's are pretty good performance wise now and you get lots for your $$$'s. If it was a 2 year lease or something, it would prolly be OK but forget it if you want high resale and reliability.
Lease whatever you like. Your more than likely gonna dump it after 3-5yrs anyways.
Cadillacs are problematic with electrical issues. Gm's pays my mortgage because I work on them all day long.
Toyota's are decent but the quality control is going downhill like every other car make. If you work on cars all day long you'll see how some days the engineers smoke crak. toyota isn't problem free either. From toyota's sludge oil burning "quiet recalls" to diffs exploding on early to mid 90's tercels, Tercel's oil burning engines, XRS clutch eating problems, emission valve problems on many makes turning on check engine lights, Corolla wheel bearing howl....you name it Toyota isn't perfect.
But yes they are holding up better than Heatercore eating, intake gasket leaking, fuel pump dying, stupid engineered weak alternator circuitry GM's.
We have three GM cars and one Toyota Camry. Of course the three GMs are all made with Toyota parts in the local NUMMI plant: a Chevy Nova and two Pontiac Vibes.

Brake lights aren't broken, I just don't brake.
