H-Techs are smooth. I bought Tein S-Techs ans swapped them out to H-Techs. They are the ride of luxury and look kool to.

Gotta question about lowering kits: What kind of wheel rub do ya get when ya hit a bump? Stock springs are designed to take that stress, and have some clearance, but when lowered 2 inches, you take away an sort of play ya might have had with stocky's. Anyone who has ever driven in Pennsylvania know that the Dept of Transportation doesn't worry so much about road smoothness, so thats why I'm asking.

I understand where u are coming from, orlando is horribly known for road construction and horrible roads, so that is why i went with the htech's, i was also considering the prokits but i like tein's better

Rubbing is a delicate issue. All pending on your wheel setup and how low you are dropped, and what kind of shocks you have.

It's hard to say what will happen with regards to rubbing - do you have a particular setup you are wondering about?

My friend had a 9thgen with a tein s-tech drop BUT +35mm offset on his 18" rims. He rubbed so much that he had to temporarily remove the plastic wheel well thing (his car was a show car and his rims from a sponser, so he couldn't give up the rims)....HOWEVER i had the same tein s-tech drop with 18", but they had a +42mm offset (same as stock)..and i had virtually NO rubbing..

so its touch and go

As for setup, i was looking to get 17s with a positive offset, but i'm not so sure about how much. Obviously the teins lower differant for diff vehicles, but i think the trix is something like 2.1" front and rear? I wanna fill in that gap that I have now, so it looks a little cleaner., but not so much that it rubs...like ya said, touch and go. However like most people, i don't want to invest in top of the line springs and not be happy with 'em.

I completely understand as for my i am staying with my stock wheels for now until i find a pair of rims that i will be happy with. if you are worried about rubbing but want the gap closed go with the htech over the stech's. the htech drop is 1.7 front and 1.5 rear. the stech is 2.3 front and 2.1 rear. For me the stech is a little low for me that is why i went with the htech's.

I heard you get a pretty nice ride with the h techs. I would have bought them but I wanted to go a bit lower and bought the sportlines. I also hear that the drop is a bit lower than advertised , but I'm sure you'll be happy with them!
The trix looks, imo, so much better lowered
