I have read in a few publications that the o-60 is about 7.2-7.5.. Depends on the driver and conditions that vehicle is being tested in.. I hate magazines that give false information.. Pisses me off.. Anyways... The Matrix XRS is a quick car, and you will not be dissapointed.. I am sure with intake/headers/exhaust you should be able to hit low-mid 15's and o-60 in about 6.5

Interesting thing. I did a quick bangshift
on the matrix at about 6k and it felt like the trans ht the floor. The car doesent like fast shifts. There must be too much engine moovement. I would also like to know what Toyota is doing with enginemanagement. There is an abrupt power different after 5k. (comes on like gangbusters). Seems like the power is switched on.

The varialble valve timing kicks in real late on the XRS, actually above 6k RPM if I remember correctly, nothing you can really do about that at this time, no aftermarket controllers for it yet. I highly recommend not banging gears, there have been alot of blown 6 speeds in the Celica GTS, same tranny, as it is fairly easy to damage the synchros that way from not being fully engaged when the clutch is let out. This info was passed on to me by a very knowledgeable tuner. Fast shifts are fine, just have to use some finness(speeling), be smooth with it and all will be ok. I am more of a gear banger myself, always have been but with the amount of power we may get in my car I will have to learn to be smoother myself.
