Specific Roof Rack

I have been looking for a rack for some time now...

I noticed a couple of weeks ago out driving, a follow matrix owner (going in the opposite direction unfortunatly) had what looked like a very unique roof rack. The main difference between this one and the ones i have seen from Thule, Yakima and others is that it looked to have tracks attached to the roof and the cross bars slid into them (making them possibly adjustable front to rear), as opposed to the standard mounts that go under the doors. It was very low profile and very nice looking, like it actually belonged there from the factory. (it wasnt a Vibe rack)

Has anyone heard of anything like this, or did i imagine it?

That set has to be drilled into your roof, yikes! maybe that's what the person did though, i had kind of hoped there was something specific that would be design to fit the matrix without modifications. Thanks for the find.

Zunit, you weren't seeing things. That roof rack does exist and I believe Toyota does sell it as an OEM roof rack. There are pics of the exact rack you describe floating around. I'll see if I can dig it up.

you have to host the pics on an external site such as imageshack.com or imagebeaver.com or photoshack.com etc, then copy and paste the link into the insert picture button in the advanced post option.
