Unhappy 2007 Matrix, Blue paint / clear coat problems

Bought a 2007 Matrix for my wife in january and the paint is already having issues. Driven about 30 miles a day during the week. Every little thing seems to scratch the clear coat, paint already scratched in a few places, and rusting. I'm taking it to the Toyota dealership and then to a paint shop that buddy owns for his opinion. Any one else having paint problems with new cars?

Can't say much about silver. Even when it's dirty it still looks clean.

If you're talking the Speedway Blue I'm having the same issue. Bought a 2007 for the wife and it seems this paint is very susceptible to just about everything for scratches and marks. I'm afraid to see what its fully like when I give it its total spring cleaning.

Will be talking to my Toyota dealer about it as well. Keep us posted on what your dealer had to say.

Exclamation Talked to dealer.

Dealer says its just wear and tear, normal stuff, just unlucky I guess. I took it to a friend who does paint and he said basically the same thing, some good polish helps, then gonna wax again over it, but some stuff is too deep already. I'd watch the corner of the rear bumper. I am buying something to protect that, I'll let you know how that goes. Is there anywhere in particular that you are having problems, can you explain in more detail?

Thanks.
