coolant issue - temperature?

I did a coolant flush, added new coolant but the temperature gauge now seems to be rising little higher than before the flush.

I pre-mixed it 70/30 with Prestone Dex-cool...any help would be appreciated...thanks in advance.

The factory coolant is synthetic, so if you change to anything other then synthetic, your engine will not like it very much and it will tend to act wierd. I would recommend that you switch back to the synthetic coolant.

Thumbs down

based on consumer reports, there are a lot of complaints with dexcool. Such as premature repairs on intake manifold gasket, valve covers, dist o-ring, thermostat , water pump etc.

i guess you have a vibe and GM told you to use dexcool?? since Vibe is a matrix why not use the toyota long life coolant..

yeah all the vibe is a shell, everything else is toyota. so anything mechanical, i would go with toyota recommendations. go back to the synthetic coolant from toyota.
