Matrix Trunk Question

So my young son dropped something inside the little storage compartments on the right hand side of the trunk. I removed the 4 anchors that are there for trunk cover etc. After that I was able to only remove a portion of the trunk paneling...Is there something I am missing that I should be doing to remove this part of the trunk paneling so I can get what he dropped in there? I've searched around with my hand as far as I can reach inside the storage compartment but I can only get so far...Any help would be greatly appreciated to I can get what he dropped in there out of there...

The only things you can take off are the panels right behind the taillights and the panel that opens to the spare tire. When I dropped a screw in there, I had to use a small magnet to take it out since it went into a tiny hole where you cant really reach in with your hand.
