Variation to the DRL mod?

I was looking into the "Day Running Lights mod" and wondered: would it be possible to use the high-beams as the DRL instead of the low-beams?

The effect is similar to some of the Camry's (e.g. Gen3 Camry), where the DRL controller is using the high-beam as DRL (at a certain % of power), and then turning off high-beams when switching over to the low-beams for nighttime driving. I hope I'm making sense.

Anyways, I suck when it comes to analyzing electrical paths and wiring, so I was hoping if someone with more knowledge would be able to tell me if this is theoretically possible. If so and it's not too complicated, I might be willing to try it out.

Any insight into this is greatly appreciated.

Redline

p.s. I wonder how this would affect Matrix's with Auto-Light...

You can switch DRL to high beam but I don't think you can have it as a low voltage like your camry. You will blind people. I disable my DRL and use foglight as my DRL - Check out www.matrixowners.com and see the How To section...

THanks for the heads up.

I was also told that I'll need a DRL module to control the lights if I plan to use the high beams as DRL. I think it was to do with lowering the intensity.
