New Matrix Owner

Hey People,
Well I have been a long time german car advocate my previous rides were a 1991 BMW M3 then a 1992 Audi 100, i also have a BMW 328 conv. but my audi finally crapped out to the point where i said the hell with it and went shopping and I found a 2003 Matrix XRS that made me fall inlove so i made the deal and absolutly love it. So I look foward to learning from all of you and want to ask my first question. Has anybody encountered a leak from the AC system that would cause the rear passenger carpet getting wet, the dealer went in and reconected an ac hose that they said was the problem and its not nearly as wet as it was but i notice when the AC is on for a longer period of time the carpet feels a bit damp. any ideas or solutions would be greatly apprciated.

Sounds more like a blocked tube, causing a backup. Never heard of this happening on a trix, but have with other cars. I guess the XRS is a step down from the other cars you've owned, from a performance perspective, but from a reliability perspective, I think you're on the right track. The only real probs you'll soon find out with the XRS is the clutch can't stand up to the high revving shift changes and will be lucky to reach 100K with the OEM one. Then, you need to go aftermarket for sure. Check out www.matrixowners.com for more on this subject.
