fuel question

In all my past cars (BMW, AUDI) i have used premium 93 octane when i bought my XRS 2 weeks ago not knowing much about the mechanics of the car because i the only car i have really ever done work on myself was my A4 i thought i was buying a car that could run on regular 87 octane, being a jersey driver i don't have self service so i never looked at the gas tank till recently when i threw a bottle of injector cleaner in and saw that dreaded sticker premium unleaded only . does this mean i have bought a car that requires me to use 93 all the time or can i get away with using plus or even regular. Note my A4 is my high performance fun to race car, the xrs is my get back and forth to work car.

Yes, it is required that you use a minimum of 91 octane fuel, not 93 octane gasoline. However, I use 93 octane. Your Matrix XRS has a high performance engine, with 11.5:1 compression ratio and an 8200rpm redline...yes you need high octane fuel!
I would use the Audi for the comute, and keep the XRS Matrix for racing.
