2006 AWD XR Matrix ,Programing keys and Cruise Control?

Can I program a new key for a 2006 matrix? Or does the dealer have me by the balls?
I have tried many of the key, foot, door, lock crap. It worked for the remote, to my surprise. Second, I have a 2006 XR AWD and would like to add cruise control, is my car wired for the addition or again does the dealer have me by the balls?

Thanks for any and all input.
Martin

I even got rid of the long seat belt buzz

I even got rid of the long seat belt buzz with a posting from martixowners.com, the only difference in that posting was to hold the odometer reset button for 1 minute instead of 15 sec for the 2006. I have until Tuesday to figure it out or pay $80 to program 2 new keys; I made an appointment to have them programmed. PLEASE help!

I shelled out $80 for key programming, and was told the car was not wired for Cruise control.

ok cruise control? check out this website, it worked for my '07 Trix XR... no problem...

http://www.thecruisecontrolstore.com...FQZxHgodjWRCQQ they have the kit for about $150 and it has the instructions on line so if you find the kit somewhere else still just print out the instructions/cuttiing template... best of luck...

Be Careful, the AWD 2005 and 2006 is most likely a cable driven throttle, not Drive by wire. Check before you order the wrong parts...
