Tein Htech lowering springs

I have the 05 TRD edition matrix and i am planning to add Tein Htech lowering springs for $150 US. Wondering if this is a good idea because a friend of mine told me springs for such a low price is bad quality. Can anyone beg to differ?

Also, I don't really want to order the springs online, so anyone in the GTA area know where i can get these and hook me up?

I appreciate any advice given. Thanks

Tein springs are good quality springs. I haven't heard af any quality issues at all. The htechs also give you a very smooth ride. There are some imitation tein springs that sometimes get sold through ebay but tein's website shows you how to tell the difference.
Tein htech springs go for about 215 cad and up in vancouver, should be the same or cheaper over there.
Also, username "mikes matrix" on matrixowners.com can supply, and I think, install springs for you. The site has been down for 1 1/2 days so I can't give you the specifics.
Also, Brad at neverenoughauto.com is a good guy and has some good prices. He will also ship USPS to canada which will save on brokerage!
Cheers!

I got a set of the S-techs. I think I paid about 160 USD for them and they ride stiffer then the Hs, but its a sacrifice for a lower stance. I've had em on for about 3 months and I love em. THe only thing that sucks (anyone who has ever driven in pennsylvania knows) is driving over the patchwork that the department of transportation like to do, rather then just repave the road. But on good roads, I don't notice much differance. Beware on railroad crossings if any exist near you, I've almost bottomed a few times.

I have TEIN Stechs and I paid $50 used on matrixowners.com. These are great springs and normally brand new they are $168 here in Cali. TEIN is a great mod I like the sporty feel. S techs are 2.3inch drop in front and 2.1inch drop in rear. I think H techs are 1.7ich drop all the way around so it depends on the drop you want and spring rate.

I have in the htech on now, and i use my car as a daily driver and on sunday' si autocross with it. For some reason though my drop rate was 2.0 and 1.7 on the car so not sure why, but i have kyg shocks, tien htech springs, hotchkis front and rear sway bar, and a dc2 sport strut bar, my car handles like a dream.

I have got H-Techs on my XRS and I had the alignment with steering calibration done once I had passed 1000 KM after installation. I still have my stock Corolla XRS shocks.

It handles exceptional well. I can now go through turns at scary fast speeds flat out. It makes me nervous sometimes that something does not seem right. LOL.
