air intake filter location

where is it located? how do you change it

hey bud no offense but if you dont know where the air filter is or how to change it you really shouldnt be working on your own car.

The filter is located on the lower right hand side right above the drive side head light in a black plastic container. undo the clips and pull the filer out and replace with a new filter unless you have a k&n filer which is orange, then you just want to clean it and put it back in the car

thanks! i almost agree with you, but there probably was a day when someone showed you or you looked in a manual to find an air filter. i upgraded from a 1986 corolla to a 2006 matrix. the corolla was my first car so that's about all i knew, which i did end up replacing the alternator, starter, brake pads, fuel filter, air filter, oil filter, etc... on. i don't have the complete manual yet for the matrix and the engine is a little different. anyway, thanks again.
