THe fix will work on the 07 as well. Some peeps say it takes many tries, and others say it takes closer to a minute for it to work. 15 seconds did it on my 05 though. Good luck. And I think the cycling you're describing is normal. Don't really know why though.

I have a 2006 and you do have to hold it in for 1 min. Plus keep the directions in the glovebox, if the battery is disconected you will have to reprogram it.

1. Turn the ignition key to the ON position, keep your foot off the brake. Do not put the seat belt on.
2. Press the odometer trip reset button until the ODO is displayed (not trip A or B), it will be the total car's mileage.
3. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
4. Turn the key to the ON position. When the dash lights come on, press and hold the trip reset button hold for one minute. DO NOT RELEASE.
One minute for 2006 and hopefully newer, 12 seconds for earlier models.
5. While still the reset button, buckle the driver's seatbelt.
6. Release the reset button.
7. The odometer display should read "b ON". Press the reset button once more and it should change to "b OFF'.
8. Turn the key off and unbuckle the seatbelt.

You will need to reset it, if you disconnect the battery. Keep these directions in your glove box for the future.

I hope this works for you.
