Just another gimmick. Don't waste your $ on that Vortex valve/Tornado/etc. thing. Get a SRI or CAI for dyno proven results.

Short ram took about 15 min. Not sure about the CAI, but i cant imagine it taking any longer. I'm not sure what the exact hP gain is, but with an exhaust, aem rates it at 15% gain.

CAI will take maybe 2-3 hours at most. Less time if you do it during the day unlike me and friend did. But after its installed its always worth all that work. SRI take at most 1/2 hour. I would buy an intake from a name brand like K&N or Weapon R. I just wouldnt buy any of those cheap intakes you can get on Ebay for like 20 bucks.

A friend of mine at work bought one of those cut up soda cans for a mustang gt, and insisted that it made he car feel so strong. When he showed me what it was, I could not stop laughing.

People that peddle that nonsense should be shot. I'm not giving you a hard time though, kudos for trying to do some research before flushing your cash down the drain. The reality is (and one obvious thing that people fail to consider) that if these $20 "Vortex Valves", "Tornadoes", and "Resistor Chips" that are so readily available actually panned out and improved performance anywhere near the ridiculous claims made (like on the order of over 15%), I would think that the legions of lab coat wearing PhDs that Toyota employs would have been onto it long ago. Throughout the past 100 years of engineering that has gone into the ICE, I doubt a crappy fan-shaped piece of plastic shoved in the air inlet for 20 extra horsepower would have been overlooked.

hahahaha! I'm glad that I'm getting all this feedback... I just went ahead and purchases a new intake system and I am looking for an exhaust... that sounds to like the way to go... overall allowing your engine to "breathe"better allows for more hp, more efficient combustion and just an overall better look if you do it right... does that sound like a good plan guys? just wondering....
