Disable DRLs or Auto Lamp to install HID kits!!!

Hi, I am a HID reseller. When I install HID kits for Matrix ( any model with DRLs or Auto Lamp ), the orginal red (hot) wire doesn't generate enough power to the HID kits. The HID kits start flashing like dancing in Level 3 (Club in Hollywood), instead I am in my own garage. As soon as you turn the light on it will be fine. So what cause that problem???

After I spend half month going though so many web-stie, then I found out why....

Auto Lamp - it is for some lazy people who always forgot to turn the head light on, so Toyota put in this device to make lazy people even more lazier. Start the engine but didn't turn on the head light, but when you shift to Drive or Shift to 1st gear ( some manual car ) the car start moving **BLINK** the head light turn on. It doesn't even need you to turn the head light switch.

PROBLEMSSSSS!!!

If you are going to install HID kits, what you must do first is to disable the device making you LAZY. Because it doesn't have enought power to push the HID light. Here is one of the link I found it will be very helpful for every Matrix's own:

Before you start to work under your car's streeing wheel, you will need some tools -
A really good cross screw driver, your very fexible hands, arms and legs and a cool and stable mind ( for you to cut the right wire ).

Hopefully it will help so many Matrix's owner.

One last thing, how do you know you did disable the DRL??? When you start the car, ***Blink*** the head light turn on right away. Then Bingo you did the right thing. Still sometime when I install HID kits into Matrix, I still don't got enough power to push HID kits ( just sometime ). So I put in a relay and redirect a hot wire directly from the battary. ***Blink Blink***

Yehey for MO!

We disable the DRLs so for those who have HIDs, we extend the life of the bulbs. I don't get why you need to install a relay on some. Aren't ballasts enough to power the bulbs?

So I did the DRL mod this weekend... but I had a question. I have an '05 XRS (6-speed), is the DRL module under the steering column by the manual light switch or by the brake pedal waaaay under the dash??? just wanted to check. here's what I did, so I spliced the red/white wire coming from inlet #12, the half of the wire that is coming from the DRL module itself, I ran a wire to the toggle switch and connected that half to the relay marked load, the other half of the red/white wire coming from the below the steering column, I ran a wire to relay on the switch marked source, and I grounded the toggle switch to a screw under the module itself. Is that the right way to connect??? I ask because, I turn the toggle switch to OFF and when I am parked the lights do not come on. but when I take the Prking brake off the DRLs seem to come on. In other words I am not able to actually have "no headlights" ie the headlight to not stay off. The auto sensor that turns on all of the lights still works just fine. but even when there is enough light to turn those off the headlights are still on as if I had teh DRLs still connected. also, if I trun the switch to "ON" even if the car is turned off the lights just stay on.... REALLY confused as to what I did...??? I believe that I did the connection correctly... someone please help! I understood this mod to completely take away DRLs??? anyone have a suggestion???? did I cut the wrong wire???? I can still fix to the way it was with a little crimp connector, so no damage done but I am little confused... it looks to me I may have spliced the right pin # at the wrong module??? thanks in advance...
