Driving in Snow

Looking for input from snow dwellers out there. We may be moving from Los Angeles to Colorado. We currently own a FWD 130 HP Matrix. How well does the front wheel drive Matrix handle in the snow? Is this a realistic vehicle to use during the winter? Thanks for input.

Like chuckles said, invest on snow tires immediately. Driving in the snow is a little harder than driving in the rain. Take it slow until you get the feel for it. Snow tires should give you peace of mind not immunity to the snow and ice. Good luck.

Canada Snow Driving

In the winter I drive daily over a mountain pass here in Canada. We are talking major snow. I put 15" wheels on with good quality snow tires (on all 4 wheels) The narrower tire grips well and is a little cheaper than the 16". It also saves your fancy wheels from the elements.

yep snow tires are the best way to go

i have Gislaved NordFrost 3 on my matrix they are amazing in the ice and snow

If you can use studded tires in Colorado, I'd go that route too.
