Bought a Matrix this weekend

Hi All, I bought a used 2006 Matrix TRD this weekend for $17,500, it has 38,000 KMS. Hope I got a good price!! Traded in my 2003 Accord V6 Coupe with 105,000 KMS that was causing me problems, mainly the defective transmission. The Matrix I bought does not have keyless entry or power windows but I plan to get an alarm/car starter that should take care of the keyless entry issue. I am looking forward to the versatility, reliability & fuel efficiency of this vehicle.

I have winter rims & tires from my Accord that are 205 65 15. Does anyone know if these will fit the Matrix?

Thanks

congrats on the new trix! I'm sure you'll love it!

....and btw, I'm almost positive your trix does have remote entry if it is a trd edition. Maybe the dealer lost the fobs?
You could probably purchase a fob (ebay),program it, and have your remote entry.

Congrats on the purchase. I'm not sure if the Accord winter wheels you have will fit your Trix. Unless you've already tried and they do.:P

What a coincidence! I saw that Matrix last Wednesday in the front of Dixie Toyota (Ideal Honda and Dixie Toyota are owned by the same company) and noticed it because of the red painted calipers up front.

Keep the winter tires but I think you'll need new steelies for it because the Matrix has a 5x100 bolt pattern. The 03 Accord, I don't think, is the same.

Congrats on the TRD Matrix!

Thanks for the feedback guys. I pick my car up on Thursday.

The bolt pattern for the Accord is 5 x 114.3. So I guess I'll start hunting for some 15" rims with the right bolt pattern.

congrats on the 'trix as well. 15"s may be a tad small for the 'trix's huge ass wheel well. You can get some oem 16"s off a 00+ celica and they're not bad looking either.

I have never heard of a Matrix TRD. Exactly what is the difference from the XR or XRS? Which engine 1zz or 2zz?

congrats on the purchase. i think the 03 accord might have 5x100 so they might fit. not sure about the offset though.
