Question Has anyone installed a Power Driver's Seat in a Matrix?

I really would like to do this. Whether it's just swapping the tracks, or swapping the whole seat (and then passengers, too, to match) I still want to do it. What seats or tracks fit?

Will tracks from a camry fit? I don't care if the backrest part is power, but i want the power up/down in the front and back.

I bought a 2005 XR in mid-December. I started immediately researching a power seat option for my Matrix. I broke my foot in late December so I have not been able to do any bone yard research yet. I will post any results and installation pictures. Please do the same.

i'm changing the seats in mine but not to anything with a power option

for most swaps you'll need to make custom brackets between the floor and the sliders and that will require welding

hope your trix doesn't have side air bags! ...because i've heard that can be a huge problem if disabled, not to mention running power for everything and the seatbelt weight sensors

good luck with the project but i think you'll be the pioneer so take pics!!

Lightbulb Did It!

Driver’s side Power Seat installed Passenger side to come later. Wiring was the easiest part. Seat brackets will most likely not pass a FMVSS inspection, but will keep me in the car. Key Points:

Seats: Power Drivers & Passengers from a 2001 Lexus IS-300
Wiring: Salvaged from wrecked Camry
Brackets: Front bolt-up, no modification
Rear: Installed but not pretty. Homemade from Camry seatbelt salvage and Lowes 14 gauge angle. Sexy huh?

No modification to stock wiring except to tap power, and move Seat belt wiring from Matrix seat to Lexus seat.

Details available upon request.
