unichip and top half engine mods

I have a 03 Matrix Xr auto. with a Weapon R secret weapon intake, DC header, Invidia exhaust and a Unichip piggy back. I want to get some more hp out of the engine going all motor. I seen the stage 1 (might even splurge and go stage 2) head package that monkey wrench racing has to offer, my question is can I go through with the upgrade or do I have to get the unichip reprogrammed for it to run right?

And if I do have to reprogram it, how muh do you think its going to be? (thinking maybe putting the unichip up for sale and getting a Greddy e-manage, whatever is cheaper)

after making changes in the setup for going stage 1 or stage 2, you will want to get the chip reprogrammed to maximize your power output. that is just a basic thing.

unless you go with only a couple of minor mods, such going with just a CAI & exhaust, most chips will need to be programmed to get the power set up correctly. i couldn't tell you prices to get it done as they will tend to vary slightly from one area to the next. i would suggest that if finances are not overly abundant, then to keep the chip you have and get it tuned properly.
