Canada Help- passenger side window regulator

Hello,

I am a newbie here in Toronto and driving 2007 XR.
On Sunday morning last summer, my passenger side window was broken by a bad guy in my underground parking lot. As dealership was closed that day, I called in a window installer guy and had it fixed. Last Friday, when I was trying to pull down the window, glass fell down. I drove in to the dealership next day and they was trying to charge me 460 CAD changing regulator with carrying my glass and 670 CAD with changing even glass to original one. Dealership told me regulator is deformed that they cannot use it. I already paid 260 CAD to the 3rd party installer already. I drove into previous installer and they pulled the regulator out and make it straighten up and reinstalled the window. After three days, I tried pulling down and up. Found out it lean against to the front side when I pulling down and it makes some strange sound. I don't know if it's gonna be good to go to the private installer again for warranty or going for dealership to fix it. Give me some idea...... Help in need,

Thanks!

Best regards,
Jason

Go back to the window guy,
Window guy did do the window replacement part as you wanted, but the functioning aspect ought to be checked by YOU and the window installer before the job was considered to be done.

make sure that when you go back to the 3rd party, you let them know very clearly that you are very unsatisfied with their work and they will fix it so it is correct and fully functioning and you will NOT pay any extra to have that done. if they can't install it right the first time, then it is up to them to go back and fix it later on their own bill. if they cant fix it to be right the second time, then never go back there again, except to get the work fixed that they screwed up in the first place.

make sense? any other questions?

BTW, I am not a window installer guy, I always have it demonstrated to work before even leaving the shop or paying the bill.

I have had to use the BBB (Better Business Bureau) a couple of times.

Will get it fixed by them perfectly and will never go back to them for another car window related matters.

Big chance of going BBB for this matter if it won't be fixed this time.
BBB would be good info to me
