My 2003 has the same problem.

The passenger side seat belt clip (metal) is on the wrong side.

My passenger riding front have to twist the belt to fasten it.

It's not a major deal with me, but it is quite annoying.

this happens in almost any vehicle. just plug the seatbelt in so it is twisted. with one side of the twist, get it close to the buckle itself, then force the folded over part through. once it is through, it then untwists itself with the twist that is in going the other direction on the other side of the buckle.

seatbelt is then fixed. the reason i can come up with this so quickly is because that is one of my pet peeves, and i fix it almost every time i come across it.

thanks, but I don't quite understand... after it is buckled up, just force the twist through the slot in the buckle harness? I am kinda lost... could you please clarify. thanks so much.

Putting on the seatbelt allows you to figure out exactly which way to fold (or untwist) the belt in the correct direction because folding/twisting in the wrong direction will mess it up even more.

Don't think about it too hard.
