Alternator

Does anyone know the correct alternator output for and 04 Matrix. Do you have the removal and install procedures?

I'd really like a repair manual but the local parts shops don't have one for this car.

80 amps, the job should be very straightforward. Try downloading the info for the Camry replacement at the link below. The alternator mounting is pretty close.

Thanks for the link to the Camry manual. It has test procedures for the alt. No load should be 10amps and with load over 30amps. We showed about 15 amps with only the driving lights on and the battery at full charged. I think that it's fine. Although, I've thought about buying a battery jumper to carry in the trunk. We have AAA but a tow truck can take hours to show in bad weather.
