USA I traded in My Matrix XRS

I just wanted to let you guys know yesterday I traded my 06 Matrix XRS on an 08 Scion Xd. So if you guys are looking for a very clean, non-abused Matrix XRS with only 15,600 miles. Its sitting at Toyota/Scion of Winter Haven, FLA.. Again, there is absolutely nothing wrong with my old Matrix XRS, and I even just put "real" tires on it. You won't see me here in this Matrix forum....I am moving to the Scion Xd forum! Later guys! Auf Weidersehn!

I hope you check back in to answer these questions. Can you give us some insight as to why you made the switch? Bored with the dull styling? Didn't like the high revving engine? Didn't like paying for premium fuel? I see you've gone with another similarly reliable Toyota family hatchback. Just curious.

Pshhhh...you will find your Matrix XRS was tons more fun than the xD and much quicker too while hauling a lot of luggage but, hey it is your choice.

On the brighter side, you will have more decent torque to scoot around at city speeds and more friendly gearing. Congrats.

First off, I did NOT switch because I was in any way dissatisfied with the car. I really loved that car, but I generally keep a car/truck between one and two years. The Matrix XRS was a blast to drive, and I had no problems with it. I kind of just needed a change again. Heck my Mom drives an 05 Scion Xa, and I always enjoy driving that car as well, even though it is pokey compared to the XRS. I do like the engine in the XRS, and the ultra high redline, and hitting the lift, but I was growing bored. I chose the Xd because I think it looks pretty cool, and that it delivers excellent fuel mileage, and the 1.8 liter engine should be adequate in performance. You guys noticed I wrote "should be", because I've got less than 300 miles on the car so far, and I haven't kick it in the ass yet. If done all over again, I would buy another XRS Corolla/Matrix. They are great little performance cars that deliver damn good fuel mileage.

Maybe in a couple of years you will trade in the Xd for the new generation Corolla or Matrix?

You know what? You could very possibly be right.

Sounds like you had this all planned out. Congrats! I guess I'm a little jealous cause we can't get Scion's way up here

I would have went the other way on this, trading the Corolla for a Matrix XRS instead.

Guess everyone needs a change eventually, hope you like the new xD
