Aftermarket Car Audio System

Hi I am new and have found it very difficult to navigate this site. I am sure that these questions have been answer by previous threads but I have not been able to find them. Thanks for any links.

I have a
Pioneer DEH-P3900MP deck, and I was thinking:

Rockford Fosgate 4-channel amp
Infinity 6022i speakers (Only because I think they are the only ones that will fit where my existing front door speakers are without modifying anything - any suggestions welcome)
Infinty Perfect 10" sub (I was thinking of making the custom box to sit on the hump on the back seat floor - sugg. welcome)
4 guage wiring kit (what should be included?)

I also would appreciate any links to good installation sites, threads or videos.

Also, a list would be very helpful of exactly what other parts are necessary to outfit a '05 Matrix with the above components: harnesses, brackets, cables, kits, etc.

Research seems to be endless and I would very much appreciate the help of those who have been though this and survived.

Thanks matrix05

I want to buy an aftermarket built in NAV system. Which one would you recommend for an 08 Matrix XRs? I am also replacing the speakers on it. What's sad is that there is no place for tweeters and I really wanted them. Any ideas? I want everything to look factory installed is possible.

Well for tweeters, you can get the sail panels (the triangular pieces behind the side rear view mirrors) frpm an 03-06 XRS which came with the 6 speaker system. You could mount any tweeter that fits then.

As for the indash NAV system, The Pioneer Avic 3 is great HU with IPOD and bluetooth and has the NAV system as well.

Whenrepalcing the speakers, it's a little tricky, especially the mounts and make sure they aren't too thick so that the windows don't hit them when rolled down. Good luck.

Oh, welcome to the site. There's all the info you'd ever want and more at www.matrixowners.com
