Help! My Matrix is Posessed!

Just noticed this today:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTGnBsmysjo

My battery died a few weeks ago in the cold weather and I suspect it was because of this happening in the cold weather. Anyone seen this before?

The car is a 2004 and has 68k km on it.

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

lol. That's sorta creepy. On a related note, the first winter my Matrix faced I kind of went through the same thing. One morning, my headlights were on. Checked the switch and it was on the off position. I took it to the dealer and they changed the headlight switch. Problem fixed.

the cold cranking amps on the stock battery suck. i tried to start mine the first winter i had it in timmins, ontario and it wouldnt even crank (it was -29c at the time).....but the sounds of the snow in your vid, id say its damn cold out.

i got a new battery installed under warranty, eventually...but you might want to get yours tested....

Thanks... it's cold again here in alberta and they're flickering again... seems to be when it's below -20/21 C... I'll take it in, but it'll be at least a day till they can get a hazard/signal light relay (if that's what it is)... unfortunately it looks like i'll have to shell out some money for some diagnosis... hope they don't go changing everything randomly...

The battery has 310 CCA... i'm going to get it changed as well... any recommendations on brands?

The newer trixes in Canada have a higher cranking amps battery than the 03/04's had (GM Delco crap). Good luck with the analysis.

Ok, I tracked down the problem. It's the remote starter that was making the clicking sound. The starter was there when I purchased the car but I was never given the remote by the dealer. The starter looks like it is an Ultra Start 1355A, and looks like the box in the lower left corner:

I just unplugged the 4 wires going to it, and the flickering stopped. Is it ok to just unplug everything and leave it? or do I need to reconnect stuff?

Thanks for all the help!
