How to set-up aux jack on factory 06 stereo?

I'm looking to add an aux jack to my standard factory 1 cd stereo on my 06 Matrix. Has anyone done this? Do I have to use a converter type box? Should I just replace the factory CD player?

Thanks!

i dont know all that much on stereos, but i would cast my vote to just replacing the unit. go get a DVD/Navigation unit with all the auxiliary jacks you need.

On my '07 with stock head unit. Very easy install.
