For the first generation, the interiors were exactly the same. Until the 05-08 models when the head units were upgraded on the Toyota models. Styling is different and I find that the Vibe looks more aggressive than the Matrix, all depends on the person.
Second generation, the styling is still different and once again, Pontiac looks more aggressive than the Toyota counterpart.

being that the pontiacs are "american", they will have generally have a lower retail value than the toyota, so despite being virtually identical, and being made with the same components, the vibe will almost always run cheaper than the matrix in the same condition, just as thebarber said before me.
