Replacing header w/ ceramic header? Yes or No?

should i replace the stock header w/ a ceramic header or leave the stock on?
also, should i replace the radiator if it is stock also.

it's a 04' Matrix XR

you will find better gains in replacing the header in the 1zz, which is the motor in the base & XR. it doesnt have to be ceramic, but if you do get a ceramic header, be sure to give your car about 2 minutes to warm up and cool down for when you are driving, and up to 5 minutes if it is close to or below freezing. ceramic headers can crack if you tighten the bolts on too much, or if there is too much difference between temperature of exhaust gas going through and the header itself. it is sort of like glass, and several other materials. as the temperature changes, the exact size changes, so as it gets warmer, it expands, and it contracts when it cools. the points where it connects to other pipes, or the motor, won't be an issue because it was designed to fit that.

make sure to have/use proper mounting brackets. exhuast systems move around causing the ceramics to crack easily.
